The Music Department of King’s University would like to offer the opportunity once again for festival participants to receive pre-Festival adjudications to ensure that they are ready for their performance. This opportunity is limited to high school aged students (grades 9-12 in school) but any instrument, voice, band, choir, composition, speech art, or music entry is eligible to submit. Adjudications will be completed by King’s University Music Faculty including Kimberley Denis (voice, choir, speech arts, musical theatre), Dr. Eila Petersen (classroom music, winds, band), Dr. Leanne Regehr (piano), Dr. Charles Stolte (brass and winds), Dr. Melanie Turgeon (choir) and a host of instrument specific sessional instructors, all of whom work as professional musicians in Edmonton.

 

Recordings should be no longer than 5 minutes in length (but longer instrumental selections will still be evaluated) and loaded into YouTube as an unlisted link. Please include only one piece per submission.  Submissions will be evaluated as they are received until March 17, 2024 and can be submitted at any time until that date. Recordings can be submitted through THIS FORM.
